Guidance

Guidance

The basic Education Philosophy of Horry County Schools is to prepare our students to become productive, contributing citizens of our community and society.  A comprehensive program of student engagement is vital to the educational development of our students.  The guidance programs of Horry County Schools are an extension of this philosophy.  The primary objective of our program is providing our students with continuing guidance in preparation for their future.  With the onset of the Education and Economic Development Act, our counselors are working with students in career exploration and prepararing Individualized Graduation Plans for our students to insure their needs for career preparation are being met.
