Annual Leave Accrual Changes:
Beginning July 1, 2010 we are modifying the annual leave accrual process.  Instead of accruing annual leave on the first payroll of every month, you will now receive 1/2 your accrual every payroll.  We are also changing to accrue in the month you earn the time. In the past, the time that appeared on your July 15th pay notice was the time you earned in June.  Going forward, the time that appears on your July 15th pay notice will be the time earned for the first half of July.  Finally, we are modifying the process to cap leave.  Annual leave will no longer be capped at 45 days as of August 15.  Beginning July, 2010 your annual leave can accrue to 45 days plus one year's accrual.  Once your balance reaches 45 days plus one year's accrual, no other time will be earned until the balance falls below the new limit. 

PLEASE NOTE:  This change does not increase the amount of annual leave that can be paid upon separation of employment.  The most you will be paid for is 45 days.

Leave Rounding:
Beginning July 1, 2010 all leave taken will be rounded in 1/4 hour increments for support staff and quarter day increments for professional staff.  Leave carryover for this school year has already been rounded to reflect this change in procedure.

Employees who work less than 240 days will no longer receive multiple checks on June 30th.  Instead, all employees will be paid twice a month, over 12 months, from their start date.
