Auditions for the 2008 Lowcountry Region Orchestra were held on Saturday, October 11th in Charleston, SC. Over 375 students auditioned for the Junior and Senior Orchestras from which 68 musicians were selected for the Senior Orchestra and 80 were selected for the Junior Orchestra. These students will meet on November 21st and 22nd at West Ashley High School in Charleston for rehearsals in preparation for a concert which will be presented at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Guest clinicians for this event will be Ginger Greer, conductor of the Junior Region Orchestra and Robert Jesselson, conductor of the Senior Orchestra.
