HCS receives grant for $598,438 from State Energy Program

Horry County Schools Energy Department, under the guidance of Paul Hucks, has been awarded the State Energy Program grant in the amount of $598,438 to install ceiling mounted occupancy light sensors in 1,651 classrooms. These sensors will lower energy consumption in the schools which will save the district money monthly.
