HCS awarded $100,000 grant for technology

The Office of eLearning at the State Department of Education announced that Horry County Schools has received a $100,000 Enhancing Education Through Technology (E2T2)/ARRA Competitive Grant. The grant will enable a technology coach to work with sixth grade science and social studies teachers at Black Water Middle School, Conway Middle School and Whittemore Park Middle School to improve their use of technology in the classroom.

The purpose of the E2T2/ARRA Competitive grants is to implement 21st century classrooms using innovative strategies that enhance instruction, facilitate teaching and learning, and improve student achievement.
