Top five finalists named for Horry County Teacher of the Year

The list of 10 semifinalists for the Horry County Teacher of the Year narrowed to five this week. The selection committee will conduct classroom observations April 2 - 9. The district winner will be announced at the Teacher of the Year banquet on May 6, 2008.

Top 5 finalists are: Jean Burden, Loris Middle School; Allie Hilliard, Socastee High School; Etta Greene, Green Sea Floyds High School; Chris Plowman, Aynor Elementary School; and Anthony Rito, Socastee Elementary School.
