Benefits holiday means no deductions for state benefits for March paychecks
A change in the billing process means deductions will not be taken for state benefits for paychecks issued on March 15 and March 31. Read more.


Free admission for students to Medieval Times when they participate in Knight Time Reader! 
The program is specific for grades K-8 and will reward students with an official Certificate of Achievement and FREE admission at the the Myrtle Beach castle. Read more.

Laptop Initiative Application:
The application for the 2009-2010 laptop initiative is now Closed. If you are a full-time or part-time classroom teacher in Horry County, and are not currently part of the laptop initiative or have not applied, the application may be opened back up as equipment becomes available.


2009-10 Planning Calendar is online
The HCS Planning Calendar is now online. It is an interactive page-flip book that you can access whenever you need it. There is also a printer-friendly version.

HCS Technology department has relocated to Four Mile Road in Conway. Months of planning all came together last weekend as the technology team moved the district data center to its new location. We appreciate everyone’s patience and for your willingness to prepare contingency plans in the event technology was not available on Monday. Our hope was that you saw only minimal interruption to technology based services during this transition. We are happy to be in our new home and we hope the new environment will allow us to provide reliable access to resources essential for teaching, learning and district operations.

Assess Online has been retired!
Assess Online is being replaced by the new HCS Data Center. This new system will extract data from the HCS Data Warehouse and display in the information in a variety of user reports. Read more.
